Innovation in public policies
UVAL’s activities in this area are aimed at improving public action through:
- the promotion of interdepartmental cooperation, administrative modernisation and the technical and organisational strengthening of government entities;
- participation in defining and implementing programmes for administrative modernisation and innovative prototype projects;
- the transfer of the results of programmes and innovative projects to government entities;
- support for knowledge-dissemination initiatives.
In short, UVAL is involved in transferring and/or applying methods and guidelines based on analyses and methodological developments within, for example, the implementation of the Community Support Framework (CSF) and the Operational Programmes of the Institutional Programme Understandings through a variety of forms of assistance.
The primary beneficiaries of these activities are the departments of the DPS and the central and regional government bodies with whom UVAL works to define the characteristics, duration and the amount of support offered and requested.
